Hi... and welcome to Rejoining the Dating Game.

Name/nickname and where you're from: I am Robin, currently living in Newport Beach, Calif.
Life & Family (kids, pets, job(s), hobbies): I am over 30, divorced last year, and have no kids, though I love them. I have a dog named Bailey. I love to walk my dog, shop, read, go to movies, decorate my house (though I rent now), walk on the beach, try new restaurants, listen to music, and chill in Palm Springs. I work in the insurance industry as a compliance analyst.
What's one bit of dating advice that you think is/was/would've been/will be helpful? I need all the advice I can get. I haven't dated in 14 years!!! Anything from how to flirt, to internet dating. Also, I will take Karen's advice to just "be yourself." Karen, you are a great CL on the Surviving Divorce board!
Awww.... Thank you!
You mentioned flirting.

I'm Missy, 36 year-old nurse from New England. I have four kids, a dog and two cats. I very much enjoy my free time to read, work around the house and I'm a runner. I like biking and hiking and taking the kids to the beach.
Dating can be fun, but definately be yourself and listen to what they are saying. Just because you go on a date doesn't mean you're going to marry the person. Dating is about socializing and finding people that are the right fit.
It's difficult to find someone to have a relationship with when you are a committed parent and if they have kids too, then it can be even more difficult. I honestly don't know how people get together and establish a relationship with kids and jobs and committments. Not to mention an ex to deal with.

Advice on dating? Not to much to add yet. Dating after 25 years of marriage. I am thinking things have changed a bit. Actually I know they have. It going to be quite the adventure.
Adventure..... YES!..... a fun adventure ;-)
Glad you're here.

Hi, I'm Lisa from Long Island, NY. I've been separated for about 2 years and am now waiting for the divorce to be final. I have 4 sons.
I am a billing analyst for a telecommunications company. I love to read, bowl, chat online, play games online and travel when I can.
I don't really have any dating advice except for being yourself. I want him to like me for me, not who he thinks I am. Its kinda scary getting back out there. I'm not even sure where to begin or how to go about meeting guys. I try to take it day by day so we'll see what happens.
Looking forward to getting to you know all of you.
Lisa

Those opposite parenting weekends are the pits!... and I'm wondering how I'll work around that, too.
Glad you jumped over here ;-)
