I think where you start really depends on where you'd LIKE to start.

There can be many options or few options depending on where you live. I think that joining a group, starting a new activity that you enjoy or volunteering can all be great ways to meet new people. But if you live in a rural area that might not be as big of an option as it would be to someone who lives in a large city.

Online dating can also be a great way to get back into dating. Many churches have singles groups nowadays. Some are geared toward that specific religion while others are non-denominational.

I think that anywhere you go gives you the potential to meet new people and the more people you meet, even as friends, the better your chances are of meeting someone who you might want to date.

What kind of area do you live in? In general, what kind of things do you enjoy doing for fun?

On another board, it is suggested to first try increasing your social circle.
