I know this has nothing to do with this msg board, but I need to let this out and I'll get to the relationship part below... So now that things are finally pretty much back to normal after Gustav, they're already starting to plan for evacuation for Ike. This totally sucks. I again have no idea what to do with my cats, because it was very stressful for them during Gustav to be toted around for a week like they were baggage -- I hated it for them but I thought it was the right thing. Anyway, considering how well we came out of Gustav over here, I'm thinking that I will leave them here for this one if I have to evacuate with the company again. Dunno. Guess I'll see. But they're talking about leaving any time between Tuesday and Friday... I think it will be for the end of the week some time. I hope.
I need some time at home by myself to relax. It's been hectic for the last couple weeks and I'm not used to having so many people around constantly. My new man came and spent a couple days and left this morning tp go visit friends in Alabama and Tennessee, and was planning on stopping a couple more days on his way back home to Galveston on Friday. But I may not be here!! Sucks. I miss him already. This is SO NOT like me, getting attached so fast and all, but I think I'm smitten. He's awesome! He met all my friends last night when we went out and everyone likes him --> the "friend" test lol

Hopefully Ike will come and go with causing too much damage. As much as I would love to live near the ocean I'm glad I don't. I wouldn't want to have to deal with hurricanes. The tornadoes we get here in Ohio are bad enough.
What kind of business is your new guy in and where is he from?
He's a helicopter pilot out here in the gulf... from Germany. Kinda far -- just can't see that much of a long-distance relationship working! lol But maybe he'll stay... who knows. Guess I just have to make the most of it while he's here.
And believe me, I don't live here by choice! It's more out of necessity because of the job. :)
