Looks like Match is following up from the sexual assault case...should they have to do this?

I think it's good--it will obviously exclude some known sex offenders, however, it shouldn't give people a false sense of safety because there could be men out there who either have not been caught or haven't committed a sex crime yet--I mean there always has to be the first one.

Very bad idea.
very bad idea for a few simple reasons: 1) living life is a form of jeopardy. your bad luck is not always the fault of a company. 2) she could have Googled the guys name and found his arrest/litigation history before going out on the date. or she could have looked him up or had someoen look him up in the Lexis Nexis database and found the same thing. 3) if it were not match.com, she probably would not have sued. she said she wasn't suing for money. I don't buy that. financial penalties are normally the result of civil litigation.
