It's so hard to tell if it's a real emergency isn't it? Of course, if someone says they are sick, you tend to believe them & who would want to go on a date where the other person is hacking & sneezing? And then there's the sickness of other people, family emergency, pipes freezing, my car broke down...since all these things could possibly happen, and most people are sincere, you don't want to think that people could be lying rats. But if someone kept putting me off, I would just lose interest anyway. Because you do tend to get excited at the beginning and then after the cancellations, the enthusiasm just goes down.

Yeah, I agree with you. Then there's the guy with the really impressive excuse who just doesn't ever call back. Like this one.

Yup, I've pretty much lost interest.

Funny thing is I have NEVER had to cancel or postpone a date or a meet.

If there's any emergency, it's probably granny being sick. His pipes frozen might be a lie. And his girls are old enough to take care of themselves. Everything else are just pathetic excuses. Save yourself the misery and break it off with him. Even if everything he's saying is truth (which I doubt), he's still a vague bastard.

Yup, I agree all around.

Plus NO ONE wrote back here to tell me a happy story after a cancellation!

Hi there!

Yes! I have a story!

I had a date planned with this guy, and literally the night before our date, he called me and said he had strep throat and had to cancel, said he was taking anti-biotics and didn't want to spread it.
