Hello alll,

I would like to get a man's take (as well as other ladies) on Bromance.

I would just say that it is as it seems--those types of men like to have a girlfriend to satisfy their sexual needs, but prefer the company of men when it's time to hang out.

My BF is a "guy's guy" and needs his time with his circle of guy friends. However, if it was to the extent you describe (which sounds very hypocritical of him!) that would be a problem! To me, it is just a sign of a lack of maturity. As those guy friends of his start acquiring significant others/families, he will eventually follow suit. Could take years, lol. Sounds like you didn't stick around in the off-chance that would happen anytime soon.

I generally don't begrudge BF his guy time, even for his frisbee tournaments which take up huge amounts of time in practice and then trips out of town for the weekend. It's an all guy team and most are married, so not up to any serious trouble, lol. Again, it's reasonable compared to what you have described.

I have a greater issue with guys who have extremely close friendships with other females, and insist they spend 1-on-1 time together.

IMO, that's just rude. I think it's great to have strong friendships outside of your relationship, but if a guy was saying no to me and yes to his mates 1/2hr later, they're welcome to him because I'm outta there.

Well, I'm a guy but I don't have those close guy friends. I see guys in my cycling club but I don't go out with them. I have couple friends who go to football games with me and but those are maybe only three or four games a year.

I would NEVER sacrifics a moment to go out with a woman over my guy friends ( except for the Super Bowl). Frankly I think guys that just hang out with guys all the time
