Welcome to the board!!!!! I am sorry but I am not that sensitive that I can cry at the drop of a hat. I don't think I've ever cried in front of a bf. I hope others can shed some light on this for you.

I suppose the question is: what is triggering this emotion? What's making you cry? Are there other stressors going on in your life? (work, family?)

If you can figure out what's triggering the crying reaction, you can respond differently (ie, not crying). And, in figuring that out, if you feel it coming on ... you can choose to take a few deep breaths and ask yourself "ok, why am I reacting this way?" instead of going directly to crying.

That said, crying isn't always a bad thing. It's often said that "tears are for cleansing." Crying because of grief, out of sadness ... it can serve a purpose. But, if you're crying "at the drop of a hat" ... that probably means that you're feeling a little "out of control" with your emotions ... figuring out the cause of that emotion will help you control it better.

Hope that helps.
