I met a guy through a friend last summer and after talking and texting for 2 weeks, we finally met in person.

If he was interested he would have stayed in contact with you.

Eplrsdb,

Welcome to the board!IMO if he was interested in you you would know. There would be no guessing or wondering. I'm sure he thinks you're a great person, but if he was genuinely interested he wouldn't need your friend to continue to try and hook you guys up.

Either he hasnt the guts to contact you and ask you out for a one-on-one date.

Hello all thank you so much for your replies....

I didn't really clarify this but right after the guy and I met, there was a crisis...due to the bad economy, he almost lost a job (which he didn't and still works for the same company).

This reminds me of the movie I just say "He's just not that into you."

Really, if he were interested, he would have contacted you. I would try to stop analyzing it and saying "but," or "what if," and just let it go. There will be other guys!

If he was interested you would know. He would call, text, and would've kept in touch.

I've dated guys EXACTLY like this before! They just want to see you when it's convenient for them...don't fall for it! If he was truly interested, he would've kept in contact with you, whether he had lost his job or not! That's just an excuse! And sometimes men just want companionship when they're lonely or have nothing better to do. If he isn't making plans with you, move on and find somebody who wants to make you a steady date!

If you really like him give him another shot! he may have come to the conclusion that you are really great. Remember Karma .. you will reep what you sew! What got him coming back was pretty simple, distance and you were no longer in contact with him! That usually will turn a guys interest up, if there is a hint of natural chemistry.
