Interesting "friend" situation

I'll try to be as succinct as possible but try to describe my situation as well as possible so that I can get some guidance.

I'm 55. Divorced for more than 2 years, two sons who are out of the picture,

I do believe that I may be a vialble option for her if it doesn't work out....

the age thing doesn't seem to bother either of us far as I can tell....I look like I'm about 45 or younger and can keep up with anyone half my age activity-wise.

Guess it's up to me to decide if I want to keep hanging around (although it's not a bad option, I assure you) or slowly move on.

I just know if the situation were reversed, I wouldn't want to be waiting around for a guy to be breaking up w/ his current GF and hoping that then he'd want to date me, but sometimes those things do work out.

Maybe she looks at you like a step dad figure because her boyfriend is immature and cant get it together.

It sounds like you are a back up plan just in case.. So do you want to be second fiddle to someone?? At your age with a ton of women out there close to your age and same interests why would you consider a romantic thing with her. What do you have in common?? That is almost a 20 year age difference and I dont care how young or athletic you
