I agree with you on your opinion. However there's a few things I don't agree with. When you are in a relationship, no matter how old you are or how long it's been, if your goal is to get married or get engaged before you move in together, that goal needs to be followed through before..not after. It's how people or one person stays in a relationship for way too long, hoping and wishing something will happen. If that's the case, and the 2 people aren't on the same track, then you have your answer right there. It's the biggest problem when it comes to RL, it's been in that "fog" and not paying attention to the signs. From what I've learned in RL, knowing ahead of time and making sure your on the same track is the key.

Honestly, he's being laid back because he's "comfortable", and doesn't feel any need to get married or engaged. It should have been you moving in with him and not the other way around. But he certainly could suprise you too and propose, but it doesn't look that way.
