What brought you to iVillage in the first place? Were you seeking relationship advice or were you just bored at work? I wonder if all the people that find their way to iVillage have some sort of relationship problem that makes them seek out advice and therefore end up here and once they are here they like it so much that they decide to stay. So how did you first come here and how did you find it?

Great question... For me it was a link on AOL when I had them for an ISP. It was something about Long DIstance Relationships. At the time I was in sort of one, well met a guy who seemed ok that lived some distance from me. From that board I saw a link over to Cyberconnections (currently online dating) and that seem to fit me much better so I happened over there. Then my ex husband and I began having more problems and the Should I Stay or Should I go Board came about and I loved it. From there I was looking to just enjoy IVillage and found Women of Color and that was a board I had lurked on and off for a while still do. Then up comes Finding Mr. RIght (which is now Is It Meant to Be) and each board I have changed and so has my life. There are a few more boards I was on a lot but I think those are ones that had greater impacts on me during my time of posting. What shall be next, where ever my life turns I am sure I will find others here on IVillage..

Actually, I just like passing on my knowledge and wisdom to other people. I think it actually started way back like 10 years when I found chat rooms on AOL where people would write for advice that I just enjoyed visitng more than other chat rooms on AOL. From that, I discovered message boards where you can post advice. Then they changed the AOL message boards and their quality decreased, also I was getting fed up with how rude some of the people on the site became, so I decided to do a search to see if there were any other websites on the web where I could do the same thing. Ivillage was the first, or at least one of the first, sites that popped up when I did my search, and it was exactly what I'd been looking for. It had lots of traffic, posts looking for advice on the same topics, and more decent people and fewer troubles than the AOL boards so I have stuck around ever since.

A few weeks ago, I was reading cosmopolitan online searching for articles and it led me here. I'm in my boring mid-30's now and don't like to gab on the phone, watch soaps or read romance novels. This is much better b/c I get to write my perspective.

"If there is any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow human being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." -William Penn
