I'm curious to hear what other people are up to for the New Year. What are you doing to ring it in? Are you making resolutions/listing goals/etc?
As for me, I've decided to not do anything this year. At first, I was hyped up to go out and party and visit people, etc., but now... plans fell through and I started thinking to myself, do I really want to go out until 4am, get wasted and then lose a whole day? I don't think so. So I think I'll stay home, relax with a good bottle of bubbly and then make the Happy 2006 calls at midnight.
Between now and midnight tomorrow, I'm also going to take the time to review the last year,

Well, my evening was very nice...I got myself into a snit for nothing. My date has a friend at the company that does the cruises who was supposed to get him the tickets to the dinner cruise as a favor and he didn't come through so that was why the plans were changed. Anyway, he brought me a dozen red roses and took me out to a very nice dinner. He had planned for us to go on more of a party boat that left at 11 PM which isn't my cup of tea and he was very gracious when I told him I'd rather not go. I was holding back yawns by 10:30 PM and he was tired also so he took me home and I was in bed reading at midnight which was fine with me.
He's like, well, if we're still seeing each other in a year we can go on the dinner cruise, but frankly I'd rather stay home and have a nice dinner together. I'm just not "into" NYE any more.
Anyway, happy 2006 to everyone...I hope this year brings good things to us all!!!! I did have some wonderful experiences in 2005 (mainly to do with travel) but on the whole, it was a pretty miserable year and I'm ready to put it behind me.

Mariah - LOL, I thought she looked "happy" and she was "loving the camera"....totally a ham last night but hey, good for her, ha! I felt bad about Dick Clark too; he probably shouldn't have co hosted the event - it was sad to hear him, I hope his voice comes back, do u think?
I've been seeing someone, it was our 4th date last night so we had a fire, candles, yummy take out, music and then the Dick Clark - it was raining cats and dogs in LA and when "R" went to get the take out he said it was "wall to wall" people and we wouldn't have had the intimacy had we gone out, too loud to hear our conversations so I'm glad. Our other dates were all big dinners out so it was nice to have some down time in a more intimate setting & go in from 2005 to 2006.
I could not have imagined being in time square; no bathrooms and your scrunched you have to hold it!! Crazy.

Is that what they're calling it now, SP? LOL! Sorry, couldn't resist.
Oh, no, I wouldn't do a first meet on NYE ;-). It's a guy I dated a handful of times earlier this year, then he ghosted (well, he claims he didn't...that he told me he couldn't date because of needing to focus on a career change, which he did, but I didn't think that meant he would stop talking to me altogether), and we've gone out 3 times now since he reappeared. I like him but there are a couple things I'm not sure about...one thing in particular. I'll do a separate post so as not to hijack this thread.
