I have a question for you girls (guys too). When dating online have you noticed that there is a six week make or break time. I mean I have dated online several times and generally have met some pretty great men but have found that the relationship only lasts for about six weeks and then the guys ghost on me, whether or not I've had sex with them or not. Same thing happened with my current guy~he "Ghost" on VDay, everything was great the last time I saw him on Friday before my trip to Tahoe. When I got back on Monday, no phone call, no "Hey, its my bday and VDay what do you say to us doing this...?" So I call him on the a.m. of his bday to wish him a Happy BDay and he doesn't even say anything to me in regards to it being VDay. So at first I was going to give him a bday card and a little something~he's acting all nice then~pretending to flirt with me into telling him what his gift is. Well this morning Feb-15 I wake up deciding to end dating him. He has the audacity to send me a text message asking how I am doing. I just don't get these guys~they have literally been getting away with bloody murder with some women~ruining for the rest of us and it appears to all end by week 6, what do you think?

I think you've been talking about this particular guy being a loser for a few weeks already, how come you don't move on?
Regardless, 6 weeks is probably a reasonable 'trial period' of beginning to know someone on a casual basis and see if it's worth pursuing/continuing. If it's not gonna work within 6 weeks then good riddance! Right?

I have NO idea what you're talking about?? What exactly do you mean?
...sorry if this is harsh but you don't sound like YOU are in a very good 'emotionally healthy' space to be available for a healthy relationship. All of your posts are laced with so much angst it just doesn't seem like you're entirely stable with yourself, let alone anyone else. Not an attack, just an observation.
Hi Tina,
Ok, don't get me wrong here... but I keep getting an angry feeling from all your posts, yet fail to see what the guy is doing wrong. He's flirting with you, asked you how you are... so what am I missing here? I'm sorry if I'm being dense, just trying to understand...
Yeah, I'm not getting this. To most guys, V-Day is not a big deal especially early on in a relationship. You were out here last week asking if you should do anything and everyone suggested either something very small or taking his lead. Then on his birthday (I assume it was the 14th?), you call him and he acts normal, flirty and seems OK to me. Then on the 15th, you (unbeknownst to him from what I can tell) decide to stop dating him and he's the bad guy b/c he sent you a text message when he still has no idea that you have made the decision to stop dating him???
Again, forgive me if I am missing something here, but I don't see what he's done that is so horribly wrong. If I can understand a little better, perhaps I'll see more of what you're talking about.
