What is everyone finding regarding OLD message activity. Are you getting more, less or about the same the last few weeks?

I'm getting zero activity. Then again, I've had my profile hidden for a couple of months now! :)
I'm sorry to hear of people's being bummed out with dating in general and OLD in particular. I am still a believer that OLD can work; it's worked for me a few times.
Is there a "trick" to it? I don't know. I do think that we all tend to be more picky when doing the OLD thing, and that if anything the *reverse* is what we should do- be LESS picky and go on more first meetings.
By doing that more frequently with more people, we get more relaxed and attach less importance to the process. One thing I notice about nearly everyone here, even the guys (although us guys do it to a lesser extent) is that we tend to put a lot of importance and lay a lot of expectations upon our "dates".
I think that this leads us down the path towards feeling crappy about the entire process, because let's face it- the odds are that we're not going to find someone we want to have an LTR with right off the bat. Odds are we're going to have to have several first dates, maybe dozens of them, before we happen to hit upon someone that we're "in sync" with enough that we want to see them a lot more.
I know it was like that for me. I met lots of women via OLD, sending emails and so forth. I wound up meeting lots of women via OLD. By "lots" I would guess that I averaged around 1 to 1.5 "first meetings" a week. (Some times it'd be a couple in a week, sometimes I'd go a few weeks or a month without meeting anyone.)
All I can say is that if it can work for me, it can work for almost anyone. ;)
Hey Chloe!
