Had an idea thanks to the folks in chat tonight...

What ads have really worked for you and gotten good responses? I propose that we share what has worked here and maybe it will give ideas to others? What do you say?

This ad worked well... rather than demanding everything I wanted, I shared what I had to offer and it got very positive responses:

Who am I?

Me personally, I don't believe in selling myself as I find that too demeaning. I just give a short description of myself and values and leave it at that. I don't think it matters that much anyway after all surveys have been done and guys admit that they just care about the photo on the ad. Women look for total ad content, so the fellas have to be mindful of that when they place an ad. Have I been sucessful, not! OLD men are horrible !
But I still wouldn't change my ad, I think it's good, it's honest and respensents the real me, and that's something I won't compromise on.
People should just be real, it would avoid much confusion later on.

Well, I never posted an ad, but here is what sold me... and Mike and I have now been together almost 9 months...

"This is the part where I am supposed to show how different and amazing I am, to set myself apart from all the other ads out there.

In some ways I am very traditional. I have a decent job that I like. I work hard, and have goals for my self and my career. I have a house that I am currently adding on to, and remodeling. I enjoy my family and friends, and love my daughter. I am corny (see title) sentimental, and a bit old fashioned (not like a neanderthal however, except in a good way, although how a neanderthal can be good is a matter open to interpretation).

In other ways I am very untraditional. I don't watch TV almost at all, but don't mind watching with someone (especialy movies) I don't care much about watching sports or following teams, but don't mind going to see games live, or participating in sports. I also actually enjoy cooking (most of the time).

I really like to do a lot of things. I love reading, dining out, outdoor activities like skiing and hiking, working around the house, the occasional bar hop, traveling, day trips, fairs, and many more things that would make this way too long. You are probably thinking it is too long already, but bear with me.

I admit it is hard for me to define completely what it is that I am looking for. I want to smile when I think of you. I want to be able to talk to you about anything and everything. I want to smell your hair, and know I am where I belong. I want to wake up warm on a cold day, and know that there is no place I would rather be. I want to share the special magical moments that life has in store for all of us. I want honesty, and the ability to share your thoughts.I want to laugh, and love, and never regret. However, I am realistic. All these things come later, and right now I would settle for a dinner, a drink, or a movie.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I am here if you are."

This is 100% acurate of WHO he really is!
