Afraid to try OLD b/c EX mite spot me

To make a long story short, I did the online dating ( it was a free one) and found my now EX boyfriend. It was weird how it all worked out because I didn't post of picture of myself on my profile and was still able to get a response. In fact, he was the only one who responded which shocked me. I took caution because I felt that know one was going to take me seriously since I didn't post a picture.

But anyway, we broke up a few months back. It was very (I feel) selfish the way he did it but I'm not going to fret over that.

My issue is the site that I want to go back and use again, I feel he will find that I'm back on the site looking and I don't want him to "lurk" around and I have a strange feeling that he will. Or the fact that I'm single. I chose to date interracial and this particular site had wonderful options. I'm not sure where he is today or what's become of him but knowing the kind of person he was, he is making use of the Internet.

Am I making too much of this and should just start back looking on the site? Or, should I start fresh and take my business else where?

Thanks to everyone for your opinions. I agree with something each of you said. I think part of it is me being paranoid. But I greatly appreciate the input!

Hi reesy and welcome to the board. Would you stop shopping at your favorite store because your ex was shopping there, too? Would you skip having lunch at your favorite eatery because you saw him having his lunch there? If you wouldn't avoid the shop or restaurant, why would you avoid the online dating site?

I agree w/ NWW--if he's on the site, it means the 2 of you are doing exactly the same thing. BTW, I think on most sites you can block a specific person, so try that.
