Age Difference - Help...

I'm 28 and I've been talking to this 47 year old guy. He sounds amazing (of course they all do at first). He REALLY knows what he wants since he's been around the block already as opposed to those who are 30/31 year olds.. Do you think the age difference is too much?

I was with a man with similar age difference for almost 4 years. I am 27. We're no longer together not because we were not in love, but because he has issues that he had to solve before he could ever have a successful relationship. I have to say now that our relationship was unhealthy because it was on and off- and that was due to the issues he had. He is probably my soul mate and despite the age differences we were madly in love. Things were hard as my parents had a hard time accepting and after the first break off, I didn't tell them that we got back together. My friends knew though and they were supportive.
Having told you a little about my story, if you are in love, then go for it. Age is only a number... yes with having children etc you'll have to plan things carefully. Older men tend to have some sort of baggage (don't we all as we get older). Just make sure that he has sorted out his life and he is healthily going through midlife crisis (meaning not going through a depression or anything).
There is a May-December relationship borad here and I would be happy to answer any of your questions. Good luck.
