Well, I would give him the benefit of the doubt, unless he specifically said that he'd call the day before to confirm.

I think calling to confirm close to the time of the date is perfectly legit (I personally don't think it's necessary but since he said he would do it, he should do it). That way, you can see how each of your days are going...it's a better indicator than the day or night before.

Hi Sheri-

You may have a point, but it just doesn't feel right to me.

Hmm, that is a little weird that he didn't respond to your email. Personally, I prefer not to communicate much (if at all) between making the date and the date itself, but I would at least respond if the guy emailed me.

Do you have his cell phone? If he hasn't called by 3:30 or so, I'd call him to verify that you're still meeting just to be on the safe side.

This happened to the guy I was dating for awhile, he set plans with a girl, time, place etc. and he showed up and she never did, when he called her asking where she was she said that he didn't call to "confirm", he really didn't think he had too since the time, place and date were all set.

If you are concerned with him NOT showing up then I would just shoot him an email or call him to confirm that you are still on.

Oh and PS. I'm convinced all the idiots live in MA. Lucky us!

If Sparkle's date hadn't told her twice he'd call to confirm, then I would just show up.

But since he did say that, twice, it throws the "solidness" of the meet into doubt.

Which is why I'd call to confirm that everything was still on, I mean poop happens sometimes the days get away from me and projects overrun. He could have forgotten that he would confirm or he could have met someone he really liked in the interim...I just wouldn't wait around wondering.

To me it's not solid at all.

His words were "let's pencil it in" and I'll call to confirm.

My opinion:

if a date, time, location, and manner of transportation has been established; succinctly....i would show up. I am not sure if all the details had been hammered out yet.

If so, a confirmation is not necessary as he might see it as already being confirmed <?>

He may not have read your email to respond. I have a friend who doesn't read his email everyday.

But if he clearly stated he'd confirm first...that is boggling.: (boy i am no help on this one lol sorry)

Let us know what you do and what happens.

Lizzie
