Hey Sparkle,

I know exactly how you feel. What am I going to say when I get pulled over for a ticket in my home town and the woman police officer I had a twenty minute "auto date" with pulls me over?

"Hi, hope you can give me a break. We did have a twenty minute date you know." Why did you just disappear on me? Yeah, really......

Hang in there and eventually (when you least expect it) you'll find someone nice. I've had my fair share of "interesting get-togethers" and I consider myself a novice with some of the other folks in here.

TT
PS: Your cat sure is cute. It's almost like he's saying "if you annoy me, I'll kick your butt... ;-)

If you don't like posts from a particular person, you can use the ignore feature and you won't see their posts (they don't have to honor your request to not post to them, but you don't have to read their posts either).

I understand your frustration and disappointment.

Nobody tells me what or what not to do. It's a public board - not everyone will agree that considering messing up a person's life because they blew off a date for whatever reason is okay.

Calm down s-puss.

Exactly...haven't we all spent more time than we'd care to admit cooking up crazy revenge fantasies while stewing over another idiot. My last one was scrawling a lipstick nasty-gram on the windshield of his car...of course I never did it, and venting about it on this board helped me through my frustration. I got the humor behind her reaction and was a little surprised by how literally it was percieved.
Anyway, hang in there Sparkle!

Exactly. I do the same thing. I would never actually DO any of them, but it's a good way to let go of the anger/disappointment/frustration to fantasize about doing something evil. (As long as you're aware that you're only thinking the evil scheme up for entertainment purposes). Let's face it - we all know we're not supposed to let OLD get to us, but sometimes it happens to even the most seasoned OLD-ers, and even in situations where it shouldn't (such as what happened to Sparkle). IMO, no harm done unless the person seriously wants to actually go through with it. Huge difference between that and just thinking it out of spite.

Please remember that humor and tone can be very hard to read on these messageboards, particularly for newer members. It's important that everyone voice their opinions respectfully.

As the Rules of Play describe, it's important that when you disagree with another member that you do so RESPECTFULLY.

Why would you even think it though? The guy emailed, wanted to reschedule, had a valid reason as to why he couldn't make it, and yet "ruining his life" actually was a fleeting thought?

I wasn't the only one who thought it was overboard.

No, and my post was to everyone who thought she was serious. (It just doesn't give the option to select person A, B, and C). I don't think when she said "Ruin his life" she meant it literally. She was just poking fun into a situation. Granted, she didn't write "LOL" but I still took it as something meant to be humorous. I understand that everyone's not going to take it that way.
