Anyone heard this one before?

I received an email thru of the websites yesterday. Seemed like a nice profile. I responded. He answered me and gave me his email address.
So I sent him an email this afternoon. He responded almost immediately, but ended the email with this :
"Sorry to be so short, but I've got to get out of Dodge to meet some
friends. I don't keep a computer at home (that way I don't work too
much), so I look forward to writing you next week."
I googled his email address. He owns the company, he's in his late 30s BUT he doesn't keep a computer at home. Does this seem "odd" to anyone else?
Am I becoming too cyncial or do you think he just doesn't want to get caught by the GF/Wife at home?

A few months ago I posted that I was contacted by a guy who gave me his phone number and asked that I call rather than emial as he didn't have a computer at home. I thought it was weird but the consensus on the board was that it's not so odd. We did go out a few times - and everything was on the up-and-up. He just wasn't all that into computers and the internet and therefore felt no need to have one at home.
I think that for those of us who seem to be online 24/7 it's hard to imagine that there are actually people who really do use computers for work related purposes only and not so much for recreation.
Hi,
This might be true, but if your Intuition is waving its' paws, there is usually good reason!
Do you know his first and last name? If so, go to your county property recods and look to see what property he owns and whom it is owned By; ie, him and her can equal a married couple (but not always)
Next go to your online country records and see if he named in any lawsuits--divorce is a civil suit, so put him in as either the party suing or being sued.(defendant or plaintiff)
Man, I hate to CSI this much, and I am not being paranoid...but, after a while on OLD, it is part of the territory and I have been Too trusting in the past!
Another thing, after a time, he should give you his home number...if he does not, surely red flag-age!
Walk into this with eyes wide and it may be okay, but I do that Anyway, so no worries, Mate!
Best o luck!
Truly,
Cupcake
I wouldn't read into it; wait and see what he says when he writes you. One thing in life I have learned is "never assume"....
I have met a few men who mentioned the same thing; they are on the PC so much at work that the last thing they need is the distraction at home. It's rare but there are a few folks out there that don't own home computers even if they could afford it, just a choice.
Wait and see what he says and if that goes well talk to him and meet him out. I think that's going overboard looking up what properties he owns unless you met him and had a funny feeling but now is too soon.
Cheers,
SP
