Asks for loan after a few dates

Question for you guys.

My friend went on 3 dates with someone, then the girl asks to borrow money. How would you guys feel about this? What would you do? My friend really liked this person but now they are feeling strange that they were asked to borrow money after 3 dates.

Any input would be appreciated..

Seriously.

I wouldn't even ask a guy I just met for 25 cents to make a phone call let alone a large sum of money. But then again whenever I am in a bind, it takes me a lifetime to even ask my parents to borrow money because it's so humiliating. Some people have no shame.

I've always been broke, or near broke. But now that I have a little bit of cash saved up it is amazing on how many people are coming out of the woodwork to ask to "borrow" money. People I barely know.

And yet they have the nerve to be offended when I say no. Run away from a "borrower" as fast as you can. It is amazing how many of them are out there.

Depends.

Was it "hey, can you lend me a buck for a soda" or was it "hey, can you lend me 25K to pay off my student loans"?

Sorry guys for not updating this thread..been busy.

The person asked my friend for 60 bucks. My friend avoided answering the question and the girl asked her AGAIN about the money. I wanted to see what you all said. Some people have no clue!!

So what was the guy's response when being asked a second time for the $? I hope he told her no way.

I hope he told her to get lost! What did he say after the first time? If someone doesn't answer the first time or is vague about it, don't ask again! $60 might not be a huge amount of money, but it's way more than is appropriate to ask someone that you have been on only 3 dates with!

I've never understood where people get the nerve to ask for money like this. I don't even like asking my parents for money. I've only had to do that once thank God and paid them back immediately.

And let's face it typically when you loan someone money you never see the money again. Which is why, I act like I don't have any money even when I do.

Surely, no one would be naive enough to loan money in this situation.
