Back in the dating pool, first meeting

So as I posted last week, I had a first meeting on Saturday.

I didn't really go in with any expectations, except to meet a new person and maybe have a fun time. It wasn't a great date, it wasn't a bad date- it was just a date.

Physically: He said he was 5'10. I'm 5'6. My dad is 5'10- so I know how I measure up to a 5'10 guy especially in the shoes I was wearing. There was NO way this guy was 5'10. I'm guessing 5'8. He also mentions in his profile about how often he works out and he also mentioned it a phone conversation. I usually take this one with a grain of salt based on past 1st meetings. But this one he was honest about. Not only does he workout- I don't think he has any body fat on him. But he's one of those SKINNY muscle guys. Which is fine if that's what you like, but I felt like a gigansaurus next to him. :)

Conversation was alright. He's a bit arrogant. But I'm one of those curious people that loves learning new things and his line of work (essentially his whole world) is something I have know knowledge in so at least I learned some new things.

So I'm counting this as a success. My first date after my break up and I survived. :) There is hope you can go out and meet someone, have them not be your cup of tea, but still survive the night with your ego/mind/soul in tact.
