cell phone numbers

I have a bad habit when giving my cell # to a guy, saying here's my cell # instead of phone number. I'm thinking now that they might think I'm hiding something by using my cell # but I'm not hiding anything. Maybe I shouldn't say "here's my cell # and just say "here's my #" and give them my cell # anyway. Do you think they could be thinking that I'm hiding something by telling them it's my cell?

Doubtful. I don't know of anyone among my circle of friends who DOESN'T use their cell phone for OLD, due to privacy concerns (it's much harder to trace a cell phone number to find the person's address, etc so using a landline for dating isn't recommended).

I've always been told that if a man gives me his cell phone number, he's hiding something. I'm with you though. I only have a cell, and because I travel frequently, there wouldn't even be a point in giving out a landline number.
If it makes you feel better, just say, "This is my number." Depending on your provider, he can tell it's a cell phone if he gets your voicemail, but I really don't think people actually mind.
It shouldn't matter...I would never, never, never, you get the idea, give out my home number until I know the guy pretty well.
Here's a tip: If you dial *67 and then the number you're dialing from any phone, the number will come up as "private caller" on caller id.
