Challenge -- Have a Meet by Week's End.

Back by popular demand... the OLD challenge returns! (Thanks Chelle)
This week's challenge should you dare to accept is to meet a person you've been communicating with or one that you'd like to communicate with by the end of the week.
Now here's the rules:
- You have to go outside your boundaries and initiate it.
- If you get turned down, find another person to meet.
- Have fun (remember, you're just meeting a person)!
- Be safe... meet in a public place and use your own transportation. (If you need help with this one, ask.)
- And finally... share your experience with us. Let us know how it went, how you felt, did it force you to wander into unchartered territory (where you usually don't initiate meets)?
What's the point? To stretch your wings and move out of that familiar place where you let life happen to you. As John Lennon said, "Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans..." So go make some!

Wish I could take the challenge, but my dating life is going to be non-existant for a while. Mom's back in the hospital - well, was actually transferred to extended care the other day. It's the peak of horse show season. Having major renovations done to the house. 2 major projects going on at work.
I don't have time to give care and attention to my existing relationships, much less try to start up something new.
I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I'll say a prayer for her.
Thank you for even responding though! With all you have going on, I wouldn't dare say to add another prospect! :o) But when your plate is less full, another challenge will be here...

Thanks, Kerry. We are struggling with the decision to put her in assisted living. She doesn't want to leave her home, but it really is getting to the point that I just can't do it anymore.
I'd love to be dating - but between the pitiful dating pool here and the time issues, I just don't know where I'll ever meet someone...even at the horse shows, the guys are gay or taken. BAH!
I like the idea of this challenge. It affirms that it's okay for us gals to pursue the guy! (I'm used to sitting back and *waiting*) There is a guy on Match I've had my eye on, but have been reluctant to reach out to. But since I took them up on their free 3 day trial the other day, I'm thinking I'll give it a whirl.
hehehe...me and my big mouth;-) OK. I'll have a go at this.
My current prospects aren't all that promising though I've already ventured out of my "Box" by
But I'm soooo tired!
I have a couple meets scheduled for next week, though. Right now I don't think I can get off the couch.
