A Challenge...
49
Thu, 10-13-2005 - 10:11pm

So ya'll know I'm big into challenges, right? Well if you didn't, then now ya do. LOL

Ladies and gents, a challenge, should you choose to accept...

Tomorrow I'd like you to go up to a complete stranger, find a chance to smile and start a conversation. No rules about what you talk about or how long you speak. The only rule here is that it has to be a member of the gender you are looking to have a relationship with and you have to find them attractive.

If you decide to join the challenge, post back here tomorrow regarding who you talked to, what his/her reaction was and what you talked about. And also share any thoughts surrounding your experience.

(For those of you wondering why I'm suggesting this, it's just to open up yet another avenue of opportunity for us!)

Good luck to all. I look forward to reading about those who accepted this!

I would never follow anyone ever. I know you know how I feel about invasion of privacy, right? Maybe you don't. Whole 'nother subject I get riled up about.

I would see if there's a babyseat. That's all. But then that means nothing. Maybe his kids are older. If he drives a Volvo wagon, for sure a family man. If he drives a truck, maybe, maybe not.

I've gotten my heart broke more than once with former football players so maybe I should just keep him where he's at - fantasyland.

I didn't really think you'd follow him.

If I thought I had that sort of power, I'd use it for evil - so it's probably best that I don't. LOL

Hehehe...Ok so I tried it again, still at work though. Talked to this guy named Max. He's about my age, perhaps a little older, nice looking. He had a really nice 35mm camera so we talked about photography as it's one of my hobbies. I've seen him in there maybe 5 or 6 times over the last year or so. I showed him some beautiful photos in the Sunday paper Magazine then I noticed later that he was doing the crossword puzzle. He left and the puzzle was completed. In ink! Impressive.

Well everyone at the supermarket had bugs up there butts, So nothing there. Today at lunchtime the hunkiest guy totally my type accidentally bumps into me. He lightly grabs me to steady my balance and is so nice and appologetic. We flirted a little with each other, and when he walked away he said I work around here maybe we'll bump into each other again, and of course I gave him my most coquettish smile and said I'll be looking forward to it. I love flirting !

so did you get his name? if you asked his name and will say "hi NAME" next time you see him then in my book it counts!

If you didn't get his name then I think you have to talk to him again.....:)

I have not officially participated in this challange....but I am too friendly anyway...talking to new guys is not my issue.....I meet a ton of new people each day in my work (none of which I can date for professional reasons....grrrr)and I transfer that fearlessness to the grocery store coffee shop easy..I was once asked out while standing in line at the dept of motor vechile renewing my drivers license.... I have different issues/challanges......

so I will tell a funny story....I went to my BF's office to meet him for lunch...he introductes me to his admin assistant...and then leaves me on the steps at his office while he goes to the restroom.....so I went back in and started chating with his AA....HEE HEE...To bad she was loyal and wouldn't gossip. But the look on his face as he came back in (after looking for me) was priceless....he forgets that I will talk to almost anyone...He just shook his head and laughed after he heard the conversation.

I've been trying to work up the nerve to use a piece of equipment near someone and say "hi" for WEEKS now!!! Who knew it would be so hard!!! I smiled at someone on the treadmill & he looked right through me, so I kinda lost what little nerve I had. I'll get it back though, & I'll let you all know when I work up the courage to do it!!
