Just curious to know what you all think about this:

An old CL-er that I "kicked to the curb" about a month ago (lol) popped up on my IM this evening and we were chatting for a bit.

We were talking about his house and he had purchased a pool table. Said to me that it "looked great in the man room."

I replied, "man room?" and he wrote back, "where the men hang out."

Does that sound male chauvinistic to you? It sounded like it to me. Then again, it also sounded funny. He probably meant the "rec room", but calling it the "man room" sounds, well, I guess, manly. (lol) I don't own a house, but still, I wouldn't have a room for females only, ya know?! (lol)

In any case, should I be watching out for a guy like that? He's supposed to call me tomorrow. He has called my voice mail before and he does sound a little "abrasive".

Maybe there was no harm in what he said...

To be honest with you, I really wasn't into him before. He's so-so looking and he stood me up when he said he would call, so naturally, I "kicked him to the curb."

But I'm willing to give him a second chance. But I think that chance might not last: I think he lied to me about his age. He made himself a year younger for some strange reason.

Having a man room in a home he owns by himself is chauvinistic? Every guy I know who owns his own house has a man room. It's where all the fish and deer are....lol. There are much worse things he could have in his house. Like a closet full of size 12 heels.

I was chatting online with a guy one day and mentioned how my son had a real aptitude for math and excelled in calculus. He replied that he must get that from his father since men are naturally better at math than women. Now that is chauvinistic. Having a room with traditionally men toys where the boys hang out is okay as long as women aren't banned.
