CL ad

As most of you probably know, CL is a little different than the other dating sites because the ads are posted on a daily basis.

That's a little problem for me. I think I'm done with CL pilot guy, based on some stuff that happened this weekend and want to repost my ad. Problem is, it's a pretty specific ad, and if he sees it, he'll know it's me. Since it's so obvious that I would have just posted it, I'm pretty hestitant. We weren't exclusive by any means, but...

What would you do? Do I owe him an explanation or can I just repost?

I think you owe him at least an email saying that you've decided the two of you aren't a good match or whatever. If I'm remembering correctly, you guys have gone out a bunch of times, right? I personally have a 3 date rule...if I've gone out with someone at least 3 times, they deserve to not be ghosted on.

You really dont owe him anything except honesty that you are still "out there".

Is emailing him acceptable? He just emailed me saying how he had moved his schedule around to get the weekend off so he could spend it with me and is very upset that he didn't get to see me. Ick. I guess that would be sweet if I was attracted to him, but - ick.

Yes, emailing is ok and it gives him closure. Just think of all of us going out w/someone three times and they never follow up (not even an email) it shows maturity and respect -- I say go for it.

Ick, well, I did.

Sigh - I'm never going to find a man. Ever since my brother got married, my mom's been on my case about being single. And one thing I learned from this guy is that I can't settle. This sucks.

I'm sure there are activity groups that are oriented to having fun for singles in various cities. Here in Portland Oregon I find a lot of outdoor oriented groups, e.g. Sierra club, a lot of bicycling activities, a national group called MeetIn... where here it is MeetInPortland.org, etc.

I use CL as well as plentyoffish which is free as well.
