Are you familiar with classmates.com? It's a site that's designed to let you reconnect with old classmates (or even former military buddies or work colleagues).

I've had a profile posted on classmates for about four years now. I have free membership which pretty much means that all I can do is see who else was in my class. (And a very small sample of their bio if they completed one). A paying member ($39/year) can read full bios/profiles and contact other members.

There is one guy I remember from high school that I crushed on for 3 years. I think he liked me too but we moved in different social circles - and I'm sure you all remember what high school was like. It's very difficult to cross those social boundaries. I have never stopped wondering about him. All I can see from his profile is that he doesn't have children. I don't know if he's married or dating or even still living here in this city.

Have you ever considered looking up an old flame or crush?

I've never done that but I did have a guy do that with me. He was a senior when I was a junior. We were friends and went to the Sadie Hawkins Dance together (eww, remember those!!)..anyway he emailed me about 3 yrs ago..he's married with 2 kids, lives 3 hrs away..we now keep in touch w/emails every couple of months and Christmas cards...BUT...in his first email he stated that not dating me in high school has been his biggest regret in his life!! And his recent email stated that he and his wife are having problems in their marriage...so it's gotten kinda weird. He says he likes knowing that he can confide in me since I'm his friend. In my opinion, it's too much info. We're not that close!
Anyway, if you do decide to contact your 'crush', let us know!!

Pretty good memory...only just slightly warped. LOL

I worked part time selling menswear. One day my crush was my customer and I helped him pick out underwear for himself. When he paid he said that when he winks at me in the hall at school I'll know that he's wearing the underwear that I chose for him.

I have a free membership on Reunion.com, but like classmates.com, unless you pay, there isn't much you can see. I do get emails from them, though, if someone looks me up on there. I have a few so far, but I haven't plunked down the money yet to see who's actually looked me up. There are a few people I'm curious about, so mabye one of these days I'll sign up.
