Hi everyone,
I've been lurking for some time now and have learned a lot about OLD. This is a great board!! One question I have is, is it o.k. for the woman to initiate the first meet? After I've emailed back and forth with someone I'd just as soon cut to the chase and talk on the phone and/or meet him for coffee. Do you think I should keep emailing back and forth until HE suggests phone/meet or is it o.k. for me to initiate it? I ask this because I recently was in this situation, asked the guy if he'd like to meet for coffe sometime and he disappeared. Another guy asked me to coffee but after I gave him my cell number he ghosted too. What gives??

You are not being forward, you are being proactive. This is a good thing. These guys ghosted because they are ghosts, period. They would have done that no matter what you had told them (except if you said, come on over).

hehehe...you crack me up amjay! It's so true.
Debbie...amjay's right, you are doing nothing wrong by cutting to the chase. Tedious e-mailing is a waste of time. Better the dude ghosts on you now than later.

I say go for it!!

ROFL!! You are too funny but you are right on point!
To the poster, stay proactive! I don't like email or talking for long periods of time -- let's go ahead and meet!!
