Commonly misspelled words in profiles

There are some commonly used words in profiles that are almost always misspelled.

Off the top of my head, I'd say the ones I see most often are....

I'm looking for someone who compliments me.

If my profile peaks your interest...

Not a dealbreaker - but one of those pet peeves that drives me nuts.

My biggest pet peeve is with "your" and "you're". Ugh!!

Definately - the word is DEFINITELY, folks! I see that one ALL the time.

And not only your and you're but their, they're and there. BIG pet peeve of mine! :-)

Ugh, I've seen "definately" a lot, too - not just in online profiles; in general.

"I'm looking for someone that..."

jh, is there an exception to the *who* rule?

Edited to add: oops, that's grammar not spelling mistakes! Sorry.

The one I absolutely HATE lately seeing used in chats is:

"prolly"

COME ON PEOPLE... spell it out??? Jeez... can it be that hard to do, really?? :)

I love this thread. It reminds me of the great Sex & the City episode where Carrie gets a thank you note from Natasha, Mr. Big's wife. Carrie's heart sinks when she opens it up to read it, feeling the pain of the one you love loving a gorgeously perfect 5'10" model, until she sees that Natasha has made an embarrassing spelling error by writing "Sorry, I couldn't be their". Carrie gets the biggest grin on her face - she's not perfect, she can't spell!

"Prolly" makes me really cranky, too.

Not common, but I once got "spontinuity".

And if you write "u r 2 kewt" it's immediate blockage.
