What does it mean when a guy displays a consistent pattern. This guy that I've exchanged a couple of messages always responds to my emails after 4 days. Not 1 day less, not 1 day more but visits the OLD website everyday.

Is there a red flag here?

I don't know why he chooses 4 days, but I would see it as he's letting you know that he'll get to you when he wants to get to you. He's obviously looking around and probably is contacting others too. By not contacting you too quickly, he doesn't get "trapped" into a "relationship," but he contacts you soon enought to keep you interested. He sort of reminds me of a "slime" I dated, but I might be overly pre judging him since you haven't even met. Just keep your eyes and opportunities open too.

It has only happened twice so it's too early to call it a consistent pattern or a Red Flag. Maybe he is pacing himself. He could be e-mailing many women and the lower (or newer) they are on his list the longer he waits to reply. There is nothing forcing you to write so if you don't like it, stop writing to him. But if you do like him I suggest you keep writing to him. There is nothing wrong with slow but steady communication, especially in the early stages. I think relationships that develop slowly have a better success rate.

It just means that he thinks responding after 4 days will keep you interested somehow. I wonder how many days will pass after each phone call and each date.

4 days is too long in my book.
