OK, so I'm new to the world of OLD, but over the past week I have looked at a LOT of profiles. The ones that I've given a second look have included quite a bit of basic info such as hobbies, likes/dislikes, fun things they like to do, and some have even shared general info about what they do for a living or where they live. So without getting too personal, what's left to talk about??? There are a couple folks that I'm really interested in talking to, but I'm at a loss for what to ask or say without having to give up too much of my own personal information. You guys have any suggestions?

Just elaborate on some of the things they write in their profile (hobbies); current events in the news; how was your weekend; do you enjoy working in your profession; are some conversation starters.

I could have wrote the same thing you just did! I too run out of things to talk about, or write about. Gosh, after the basics, then where do we go from here?
