Here's a cute profile that just popped up in my town. I think there are a couple "stealable" lines - though the overall profile is mediocre (she makes a big deal out of impressing her and she'll send a picture - as if that is some big reward):
"I really just want to meet someone who is sane! Sanity is a big plus. Oh yeah, you should be handsome, rich, funny, intelligent and sexy. That's a joke, you don't have to be that smart. Ok, I'll get somewhat serious now...Talk to you soon...I just want to find my best friend. Connect that way first and take it from there. I'm tired of the scene, as everyone is, and would like to find my soulmate (how cliche is that?). Send me an email, impress me."
...I like the part about the "That's a joke,..."
...She shows her newbie status with the "send me an email, impress me"
In her religious area is:
faith: Christian / Protestant
Don't practice. Wasn't raised with religion. Would I be 37 years old on match.com if God were looking after me?
...I think this is funny/unique - haven't seen it anywhere before. Probably not funny to Bible thumpers - but she wins orginality points for taking an area that people tone down so as not to scare others off.

AND???
In other words, are you going to contact her?

I think that our religious upbringing or background, even if we're not particularly religious, is a big part of who we are. So to me, it makes sense to give a general idea of what that religion is/was.
The other thing is that if you ask people "what religion are you", even if they haven't been to a church in years the odds are they'll identify with SOME religion or another.
Personally, I think that rather than list what religion people are, the OLD sites should ask how important religion is to someone's life; and whether or not they're willing to accept someone with different views on religion. That, to me, is far more telling than which particular "brand" of religion someone is into.
I mean, I figure I could hang with someone from nearly ANY religion, as long as they're not going to be angered if I'm not or insistent that I practice theirs.
