OK, I'm revamping my profile, and even though it will probably change 50 more times, can you tell me what you think of it so far? And do you suppose that if I manage to get my e-mail slipped past the censors, that anybody will figure it out?? Thanks!!
A little about me: my favorite first date was a trip to the grocery store, my most devilish moment was dumping a fully-clothed Michigan fan into a jacuzzi in 20 degree weather, I love to shoot pool, but can't break worth a da**, and sadly, I make dogs howl when I sing in the shower.
I'm looking for someone that just "fits", someone who thinks all their favorites things to do are made better when I'm there, too. Chemistry is important to me (if you don't feel the initial attraction, what incentive do you have to look deeper?) but conversation and emotional connection is what keeps it going long after the chemistry has settled into comfort. The kind of person I'm most comfortable with is outgoing and stable, loves to travel and is family-oriented.
I love live music, and am a sucker for Abercrombie-type guys who play guitar. I love Mexican food (which is fitting b/c I love Mexico--worm optional, tropicalwaves necessary, hint), celebrating the big win with you after the game, sitting on the back porch swing during thunderstorms, and dressing up in a little black dress and heels for drinks at a nice restaurant followed by coming home to a backyard barbecue in jeans and bare feet.
Well, you won't really know if you like me unless you meet me, so why don't you just g mail me, hint, and we'll see where it goes? If I like your profile enough, I might subscribe just for you!
In My Favorites section: American Idol, King of the Hill, Evanescence, 3 Doors Down, scary movies like Amityville Horror, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, thunderstorms, 90s trivia games, Coldstone Creamery, summertime, FunnyBone, Mind of Mencia, the beach, being wrapped up in you

Hey cj,
OK this one is even better...I liked the first one too, though this one is more playful but it's clear your looking for substance. Right on!
Now the g mail thing still confuses me and I'm pretty good at solving riddles. I get that your "name" is tropicalwaves but I can't think of an internet company that starts with a g, 'cuz that's what g-mail implies to me. When I read your first profile I thought it was yahoo 'cuz you had the g on the smile. yahoo's icon is a smiley face. I consider myself a pretty intelligent person, but there are times I can't see the forest for the trees. It may be totally obvious, but if I'm not getting it then surely the fellas of equal and lesser intelligence aren't getting it either.
BTW, if a guy does get to you the roundabout g mail way then there's no need to subscribe.
Good Luck!

Just an FYI... gmail is an email provider... I have an account at gmail.com as well. But I do agree with chele... think you need to squeeze the email pieces in closer together. Or something... I get the gmail piece, but I don't know if I would
Thanks...now it all becomes clear! I've never heard of gmail. I figured it would be something that simple. I'm not all that internet savvy;)

That is so cool and very smart- I never thought of that. In fact one time on Eharmony and went back and just blatently put my email account in there, and the next thing I knew I had "violated" the terms and was being removed. I honestly did not know you couldn't do that! Oh well! Cool I will try that on my match.com site!!!!
Thanks for the input, guys! I actually had a gentleman from here go to my Match.com profile and e-mail me his ideas there, which was awesome. I tried to take some of his ideas and put them to use, but it was so hard to let go of some of the things I was so proud of! lol
I figure that the g-mail thing will be tough for some people, but it's the only way I've been able to get an e-mail address in my profile at all...every other e-mail address I have is stripped out, no matter how I try it. So, I guess I'll just have to hope for the best. Even this one didn't get through the Yahoo Personals censors, so I'm stuck with no way for contact there...
I think I'm probably going to give up soon, though...I'm just tired of the dating game, you know? maybe take a break until the spring...
So thanks for all your help, and good luck with your own searches!!
