I'm here in Dallas for a week at a convention -- and boy is it interesting...

Hee hee. Yup, got them now. Gotta love that concealed weapon law. Oh and you're in Grapevine - that's definitely more Fort Worth than Dallas which explains the longhorn. Looks like you are having fun!

The hotel was so nice. When I checked in they even gave me an upgrade. How could the nice lady at the front desk have anticipated that I was such a big fan of rooms with a view of ... the worlds largest power generator...

Haha. I had to laugh at the Grapevine clarification... as I was *just* about to post the exact same thing. He's most definitely not in the 214. LOL :)

I'll just be happy if I can spot one person wearing sidearms. Don't they do that in Texas?? I have no clue where I am except that it's a big old convention hall that blows cold air at about 60mph for half the sessions. I guess every state is bigger than Connecticut -- which is my only frame of reference.

Just thank your lucky Texan Stars you are not in Iowa! It could be worse.

Oh yeah. You're in Texas. Don't worry about spotting the sidearms, I am sure that they are highly trained and quite adept at keeping it hidden (we all have body holsters, ya know). I am both kidding and being sarcastic. The concealed weapon law is one of my least favorite in Texas.

Oh and as for the A/C - pretty much every building turns on the A/C in early April or so and keeps it running full blast until November. I used to bring sweaters to work in July because I was so cold - something to look forward to this summer to, I suppose!

We Dallasites (city proper) ARE a little high and mighty, aren't we? So where do you live k3? I am in the Lakewood area - been there almost 6 years and love it. Dallas is a great city with so much to do but so separate from Fort Worth even tho we are the same metro area! Fort Worth is fun, but just a different atmosphere.

WOW... you'll never guess where I live. Hahaha. What a small, small, small world. Nice to "meet" you! So... is it me, or is it nearly impossible to date in this city???
