Has anyone tried the dating site chemistry.com? My sibscription to match.com is ending and I haven't had any luck there, but I saw someone on tv talking about this other site chemistry.com and wonder if it is worth trying. Any feedback.
Thanks,
Karalyn

Hi,
How long were you with match.com? Have you met any nice men from there? Why no luck? I am with Match and am deciding whether or not to renew as well.
Thanks,
Bunny
in my city the same men on Match are on LL and Yahoo. I had a profile on Yahoo and 2 men I met from there asked me about my Lava experience :)
sometimes it is not the site, it is the city.
Where I live interesting men are taken, the ones decent enough to consider just immigrated here and dont have a job or not a good one. In cities were there is a booming industry (IT, Finance, Aerospace...) you find a lot of single professionals (single because they moved for the job not because no one wanted them!)
I myself I m thinking of putting more effort RLD instead OLD. Since there s no pressure to decide and there is no "profile" for the men from RL.
Warning, it's very expensive, probably too expensive to be worth it, unless you get in on a good deal like I did.
Go into your Match.com settings and see if you're set up to receive "special offers and promotions from select Match.com partners".
I got an introductory offer, for a FREE subscription to chemistry.com, for as long as I'm subscribing to match.com. So for $50 for 3 months, I get full access to both. As opposed to OVER $50 for one month on chemistry! So I've been on Chemistry for about a month.
It's set up similar to eHarmony except you won't get as many matches... partly just because it's new and they don't have a large member base yet. You can only have 5 matches at a time in your 'new matches' section, which I personally find annoying... they stay in your 'new' section until you either reject & permanently 'archive' them, or accept and move them to 'active match'.
Anyway it functions similar to eHarmony in that you take a long questionnaire to supposedly find you a more compatible match. I'm getting maybe about 15-20% decent matches on chemistry, the majority I delete immediately. I've only had one get to open email and trying to set up a first meet, except he's been out of town. :(
I just signed up (again) on eH and received 18 matches within a couple days. Only 3 closed me right away, I closed 5, the other 10 look pretty decent. I can't do anything else until I pay, and I'm waiting for a good deal. But 10/18 is a really good ratio of possible keepers.
Bottom line, don't bother with chemistry.com unless you get a REALLY good discount.
Thank you everyone for your responses. I guess I live in an area where there aren't that many great available single men, because I also find the same men on match, yahoo etc. It always amazes me when I see some of the people on this board getting alot of dates from OLD, because I am not having any luck. I did try EHarmony quite a while ago, and this was the best out of all that I have tried, because I felt that the quality of men on their site was better. I have found it hard to find anyone quality and serious on match in my area. I also tried perfect match and thought that it was awful because I wasn't getting hardly any responses. I also read this from another poster and she wasn't even sure they were for real. At least on the other sites I received replies and responses, so this makes me suspicious. They are also expensive.
Thanks, Karalyn
