We certainly are ;-)! I thought the same thing...that the advice in the article definitely is consistent with the advice we give on this board, even down to the "touchy feely" stuff like not putting negative things in your profile!

Well, Sherry A--whatever is a CL on one of these boards, isn't she? Dating Doyenne? Has that bad girl been lurking around our board and JH's website and stealing our stuff?

Hi Sheri,

Thanks for making this so easily available, I just read every word, and it is SO true! I have to say that my exhub and I are still showing on each other's property assesment here in our area--I signed what was called a 'quit claim', so he could buy a house while he still co-owned this one. That said I am the Only one financially responsible here at my home. We have never changed this, as we get along well and I am selling the house this year, so it is moot to do so now. Too much room for just my 1 son and I ,after my older son goes to college next year. Phone records, then, could remain with both names, But...if it just one of many red flags, I agree..every little drop counts towards the full bucket!

And always, Always trust your Intuition, and those little hairs on the back of your neck that stand up and yell for attention!!

Oh, and speaking of getting a clue...I am now getting a feeling that New One (Mr Hit and Run!)might have been living with a woman, maybe even his Mom (at 52!)until Very recently per the way his townhome is...and where are the family photos and mementos, if he is SO close to his family? Hmmmmmm...his house looks more like a Pier One ad, than anything!

Truly,
Cupcake

I did read that one earlier today. I thought it was very interesting and right on the money! One other one that I found "interesting" that pretty much goes against almost everything we say! I was surprised!

>>I thought it was pretty good...thoughts?<<

Men are scum.

No, seriously, there are a lot of guys online that're fooling around. I can't believe any woman would consider an OLD guy that didn't post a picture, for starters.

The only thing that jumped out at me in her article is the notion about home phone numbers- more and more people are going without a landline. Why not? Cell phones usually have free long distance, and depending on the market you can sometimes wind up with pricing that's only a tiny bit more than what a landline costs (when you figure in all the features, like voicemail and so forth, that a cell usually comes with).

I've responded to guys without pictures and I dated them for a while and know they aren't married. So I don't think that applies in every instance.

What I look for after I respond to a guy with no picture is:

1. When he calls me (no calls evenings or weekends=married or w/girlfriend)
2. If he won't give me a landline number
3. When he wants to go out on dates. (at odd times like lunch, etc=married or w/girlfriend)

Interesting...I strongly disagree with this woman's "talk for a long time before meeting" approach...she got lucky despite doing so, but we know that's the exception rather than the rule!

That was the one that surprised me the most too. For me, it is the ones that went on forever that tended to be the LEAST successful Too many expectations built up and then when they were not as great as they seemed to be on email and phone, it was a big letdown.
