I had the exact thing happen! What was funny to me about it; was that he had initiated all the contact...said he would talk to me and we would get together...then he disappeared...I've just sent him one e-mail that said, "if you ever want to talk..you know my e-mail!"
It hurts, but, a good lesson learned about how online men are...maybe he was afraid of judgment? IDK...when I meet anyone, anywhere, they are always greeted with a smile...even online...but for this post..you get a Yay! for learning and sharing with us...thank you...you are not alone :o)
I'm not entirely sure I understand the situation, but what I'm getting is:
- He's visiting your town for a week, during which time he's trying to find a place to live and (here I'm assuming) figuring out various other logistics associated with moving to a new city.
- You're only contact has been exchanging some e-mail messages, though they seemed to be good, encouraging sorts of messages.
- He asked generally about your plans on the weekend. You apparently have some, though I guess not so as to occupy you 24 hours all weekend.
If that's vaguely accurate, I wouldn't make too much of his failure to respond. He's staying in a hotel, or with someone else; using his cell phone; accessing the Internet over someone else's connection or in an Internet cafe or hotel; maybe driving around in a rental car; spending time looking at places and ads and talking to agents and what-have-you; most importantly, he doesn't quite know when he's going to do what, or how long it'll take.
It's entirely possible he wants to meet you, but either: - He's trying to figure out when or where or how that might work, and isn't responding until he has something to say in his response other than "I don't know." - He's figuring it's a bit complex or premature or awkward or burdensome on you
It happens ALL the time.
