Discouraged With Online Dating

I was just wondering am I the only one that is not having any luck with online dating? For those of you that have met people did it take you a long time? I tried eharmony, but only had two dates off of that neither which were good matches for me. I recently joined match.com and I am having bad luck with that site. It seems to me that match has alot of guys, but most of them seem like players and not very sincere. I also feel that online dating is making me doubt myself. I am in my 30's and I am wondering for most people having luck with this if they are in a different age group. I would love to hear other people's experiences with this.

Thank you,
Karalyn

I agree, it goes in "waves". This summer I went at least a month w/out a single date from OLD. I also enjoyed not having to be somewhere or rushing off to a date, it was kind of nice on the flip, renting movies, doing long work outs, etc.

I also refused to "date" just to "date" they have to be someone I feel could have relationship potential. Then bam one day you wake up and it seems you have a lot of quality guys to choose from. This past month has been especially good for me and I'm not complaining. I've been on about 3 dates w/3 different guys in the past month and one I'm seeing again Saturday and another (he lives 5 hours away) would also like a second date. No guarantee's but as you say you gotta keep the "faith" it's much better then the latter. Understandably it takes "time" to find out if you're truly compatible but no need to be so jaded you can't enjoy the experience and give them the benefit of the doubt, life is too short otherwise. But I've been lucky, no matter how crap my life is, I've always known deep inside it's only temporary and this too shall pass. No need to dwell...focus on other things and know it goes in "waves".

Cheers,
SP
