I sort of touched on this in another thread, but I wanted to start this as a new topic.

It is tough because OLD is of course very visual--esp. on match right now, when you do a search, all you see are the little pictures, so of course if you find someone unattractive, you won't even bother to look to find out anything about them.

Hi Music many people get rooked by the "FREE" sign but you join free but to communicate you need to pay.

I got one wink and then I went back to look at the profile and it was like "profile unavilable."

Not saying I don't believe "fake winks" are possible.

But you know anyone can "wink" for free, right?

As a friend of mine pointed out, these companies wouldn't stay in business if everyone was successfully meeting people right away.

Well, I'm putting Match.com to the test. My currently membership is up in mid-May, so I cancelled the auto renewal this morning. The summers have been notoriously slow with OLD for me, so that seemed like a good time to take off. So, we'll see what they do to entice me to stay.

The 3rd guy who winked at me turned out to be a real person so I guess I am getting a little more suspicious.
