does this profile have an attitude?
Wed, 01-29-2014 - 9:03pm

I guess I was kind of surprised to read this kind of profile.  I realized there are many different approaches that one can take when writing his/her profile.  This one is original and interesting, but IDK what else, what do you think?  Thanks

How should I start here? If you're looking for Mr. Perfect don't waste your time and skip this.Nobody is perfect, not me ...not you..unfortunately. I could write many things here about myself, make myself look better, maybe make some impression...but I won't do that. Feel free to ask any question. Pls be real, down to earth, easygoing, drama free...

Was this all he wrote for his profile? If so, he seems pretty lazy to me. An online profile should be a place where you shine. There's no need to brag, lie or exaggerate, but you certainly want to put your best foot forward. Additionally, most people don't know how to write well either, so I have seen some appalling profles in my time online. I have seen many, many profiles that say that same thing about "ask me anything." Well, why not just write about yourself so the woman doesn't have to ask you? I just never understood this. Perhaps he thinks he's so handsome that his photos will do all the talking for him.

But to lead with "I'm not perfect and neither are you" is just lame. A real lack of imagination. Yet another reason I am on hiatus from OLD.

thanks.  I would think that profiles are a good screening tool.  I have a pet peeve about spelling and grammar errors.  If guys say that went to college or even have a  Masters, I get really annoyed at silly mistakes... unless maybe they LIED about their education.  i was in a rush to find someone, but not so much anymore.....  my only concern is, I moved out of my parents' house 11 years ago and have lived alone ever since. I've dated but never lived with a guy - I did have roommates at college, but I just hope I will adjust well when I live with someone, I mean IF I live with someone

Actually profile are annoying.  90% are lies.  It is like dating.  People do not reveal their real self.  They give you a facade.  Sometimes, there is a meeting of the minds and emotions.    House sitters will tell you about hiking, skiing and being out doors when in fact they would rather go to a movie.   They will tell you what they think you want to hear.

One piece of advice if tyou decide to live with someone make sure your house keeping values are the same.  it can be a warzone after signing a lease to be with a person who tries to take control or is OCD when you ar laid back.. Even things like cooking dinner can be a trial.    And have a big enough place.  Someone under foot is so annoying.

As to the profile, yes, he does have a bit of attitude. Unfortunately for him, negativity doesn't play well--even though online dating can give good reason to be negative. I bet he is getting below average responses from women.

As to living with someone, remember you can learn a lot about a person beforehand, just by paying attention. There will still be an adjustment period, but if you have been attentive, it won't ordinarily be a disaster.
