Doh! Nother newbie question...

IS there an ettiquette for a fairly long distance meet I should know about? I'm hoping to meet a guy who lives in a city I'm not familiar with 75 miles or so away. It is all highway between here and there. So a 'cup of coffee' might not do. Should I have him come here, insist on going there, or offer to meet him halfway in a town where I know of no good places to meet?

Any comments?

I live in a large metropolitian area where you really could drive three hours (in traffic) to see someone who is "in town", and I usually meet them halfway.

Either meet halfway if there is somewhere in the middle you are familiar with (it's important that you are not driving blind somewhere to meet a stranger) or see if he will come to you.

Aw, come on, Vex, that's what maps are for!

(says the person who never leaves her house without a map, and couldn't meet anyone if she had to meet somewhere she was familiar with)
