Curiosity got the better of this Kitty and so I clicked on a name. How in the world can a 21 year old man (kid, really) say in a personal ad that he "loves to travel and explore....let's jump off the front porch and see what's out there" when HE IS IN LOCKDOWN FOR 24 HOURS A DAY BECAUSE HE IS ON DEATH ROW FOR MURDER?!?!?!?!?! (his description of his situation, not mine)
Oh, of course...(smacking my forehead) because he explains that he was wrongfully accused when he was 18. Kiddo, you better be focusing more on your appeals than your pen pal possibilities.
(btw...what the heck is wrong with the boards....it is taking me FOREVER to get pages to load, to pull up messages, etc)
This board is sporadically screwed up. I don't know whether it's the ads which are being served slower or if they are doing something with the servers.
okay, so I'm alittle bored at work today and I actually read thru a couple of those ads. Alot of them are outdated, I think. Some say "I get out on 4/00 or 12/97" or something similar. One guy said "I'm willing to relocate if I meet someone special". Of course you are, YOU'RE IN PRISON!!! I kinda feel sorry for them but they're there for a reason.
It's always amazed me how these horrible, horrible people can get little fan clubs and have these hangers-on groupies. I mean, Ted Bundy had women that wanted to marry him, for crying out loud, and infamous women prisoners have their own fan clubs. Why on earth would someone want a criminal like that?
Then again, why would someone be a rapist/murderer? Some things in human behavior are just beyond our understanding, I guess.
I too was going to bring up Ted Bundy's fan clubs but NGOL beat me to it (damn slow boards :) That just made me sick, especially when I tried to imagine how the victims' families felt when they saw the "fans". Apparently a lot of those sickos wanted to marry him. When I lived in Boston, a lot of my single girlfriends and myself would complain that guys in prison could get girlfriends and we couldn't even get a date (it was before I found the wonderful world of OLD, lol).

"errors of youth" -- what a joke.
This site is freaky. Brings to mind all those guys I hear about who never manage to make it to a face to face meeting, eh?
lol
Oh. My. God.
Holy CRAP.
