e-mailing to meeting

This guy that I'm e-mailing from an OLD site is still asking me about myself and he didn't mention anything about meeting since his first e-mail. This will be my fourth e-mail I sent him, and I'm ready to meet but it wouldn't be right for me to mention it since he was the one who mentioned it to begin with but what if he doesn't suggest it again? A week isn't too long to e-mail but I don't want it to go any longer than that. What should I do if he doesn't say anything else about meeting and just continues the e-mails? Oh yeah, he said in his last e-mail that in his spare time, one thing he likes to do is to go out for a coffee with friends so why doesn't he ask me to go for a coffee? I'm wondering what he's waiting for.

If he doesn't mention meeting again in the next email or two, I'd just take the bull by the horns and do it yourself. A variation on the email I previously suggested to you, without the reference to the phone call, is what I use: something like, "I really prefer to get to know someone in person rather than by email. Would you like to meet for coffee sometime soon?"

This sounded odd to me when someone on this board said it, but it's true that a lot of people online really have no intention of actually meeting in person. Weird.
