Hmmm....

My weekend starts early tomorrow afternoon- spa day with my mom.

Saturday is a "ME" day. My schedule been so crazy I need a day where I don't have to answer to anyone.

Sunday I'll spend the day studying and getting ready for the free tax clinic that I run at my school. First clinic day is the 19th- ughhh.... Too much to do, not enough time.

And for the actual Valentine's Day- dinner with my parents at one of my fav Italian restaurants followed by my mom's homemade double chocolate cake. I didn't want to spend the night alone and wallow in self-pity- so why not spend the day with the people who love me most. :)

For all of you who have dates- have a fabulous weekend. :)

Valentine’s Day is Monday – FYI.

This weekend my sweetie and I are taking it easy as it’s going to be raining here in LA. I’m getting a manicure/pedicure Friday night. Saturday am I’m getting my hair done (it’s been 6 weeks). Then Saturday afternoon through Sunday I’ll be with M hanging out. Monday night we’re going to dinner somewhere in my area right after work to toast in the Valentine’s. The following weekend we’re going to San Diego and celebrating Valentine’s more – this way the weather is hopefully nicer and you don’t have all the hotels booked up due to Valentine’s Day!

That’s our scoop.

I don't know about "valentines date" per se, but I do have vague plans with MG for Sunday afternoon/evening. Probably movie & dinner. I have to work Monday but he doesn't, so with any luck maybe I can get a lunch date.

We had the exclusive talk the other night, and I checked today & his profile is still up... but says "active within 1 week" so I guess he just hasn't got around to it. If it's still there on Sunday I'll have to say something, but hopefully it should be gone by then & won't be an issue. Fingers crossed.

Date? Isn't that something they put in fruitcake?

I have a date.
We will check out this play "Bad Dates" at the local theater.
What would you give to someone that you have been dating for a month? I would like to come up with something small and sweet.

Well, I did have plans with a bunch of friends for tomorrow to go to Pete's Dueling Piano Bar, but several of them have come down with the flu.

Are you SURE you want to see that with a guy???? I saw that play recently and it's both hilarious and heartbreaking...but I think it would make me uncomfortable seeing it with someone I didn't know all that well especially in a dating context. I hope the guy has a sense of humor about male-bashing!

As for what to get him, I'd go for something like a CD of music you know he'll like from your conversations.

Well, he did read about this play and didn't mind going to see it with me. Maybe if he survives this he will be a keeper X 10.

ha! My first ever Match.com date was on Valentines day. He didn't even realize it. It was 2 years ago back when I was living in LA. Hee, I guess I know my OLD anniversary :)

But I do have a date- I am in Philly on business so he is flying in tomorrow night, spending Friday/Saturday in Philly then heading into NYC for a long weekend (Sun/Mon).

Should be fun, I haven't been back to NYC since I moved and since I am so close, how can I not take advantage of it. Plus, been ages since he has been, so I can play tour guide too :)

HI Luv,

Good to hear what is going on with you per the same feelings...I am kinda liking the idea that I DO think of him, but there is no frenzy or intense worry...just a really nice sense that he likes me a Lot and things are going at a pretty good, normal-ish pace. I am attracted to him, not sure to what extent...he might be more inexperienced than most I have been with before, but maybe not...there Are those that surprise ya!? Cannot tellif he is shy or just laid back and it is VERY different that he has Not tried to steamroll me into bed..I like that!

So, just rolling along this little rock...you say that some of the infatuation is wearing off a bit..did it reach a really high note there somewhere, and it is getting to a more comfy place now? Is that what u meant?

As for gifts,I am thinking Maybe of homemade cookies, but I like the fave CD idea, or even a DVD movie you know they like a lot and do not have. Cute lawyer has a 15 year old son, so know they could enjoy sharing homemade chocolate chip cookies. We shall see how Saturday goes, but Ido not have him pegged as a romantic, so bet Val Day goes "blue angels" (Right over his head!)with him!

oh well...

Truly,
Cupcake
