Hi everyone. I'm a frequent lurker, but rare poster. Anyway, I met a guy online through Craigslist. I actually wrote to him because I had just posted an ad, and after browsing guys ads I noticed that his (which was posted before mine) was really really similar to mine -- like down to certain word choices. I thought it was a weird coincidence so I responded and we struck up an email friendship.
Anyway, we met a few weeks ago as (or so I thought) more of a friend thing. We are both new to a big city and don't really know a lot of people. I thought we got along well and he asked me to do something again. He even sent me an email the next day! Well, schedules didn't match up and so a week went by. Last week I asked him if he wanted to see a movie that I have passes to and he said yes, but later in the week. Still nothing. I haven't heard from him in quite a while.
Now the thing is I don't really like him in THAT way. But I WOULD like to be friends with him since we are very similar in interests and humor and because I don't really know many people here. But I think HE thinks that I want to date him, which isn't the case. Is there a way to let him know that I am totally fine with being just friends or is this pretty much a lost cause?
Thanks for reading! I appreciate any advice you have.
