Just wanted to see what everyone is up to this weekend???
I'm going to an Irish Pub with some friends tonight. R is in Chicago, but Sunday we are going to the soccer game.
Hope everyone's weekends are going well : )
HJNTIY-glad you're back. You and Mark are the big brothers of this board : )

Big brothers?! LOL..I've always wanted a sister...:-P.
I've been struggling with my energy level. I suspect it's my sciatica that has been bugging me for the last month. I feel run down and various parts of my body feel an annoying pain. This has really cut into my daily workout, down to twice a week. It pains me (so to speak) now that spring is coming to the Northwest.
This weekend is a must do tax weekend. I got my kiddos Sat night and Sun.. yeah! Certainly helps when I don't have a Sat night date. I tend to get a bit down when I don't have SOMEthing going on over the weekend.
I am in a bit of a quandary as well with this woman I met in line to a book talk. Very nice connection but ... I hate to start something if she is not "the One" because I've been down that path too many times.
The other thing I did was the result of the book talk by Anne Lamott is that I sent 3 apology notes to one ex-friend and two ex-girlfriends. Anne talked about cleaning up the garbage heap in her heart which inspired me to do the same.
Hugs to all,
Mark
I'm kind of bored at the moment... last night I went to happy hour with my bf and then we came home and watched a movie and made popcorn. I have no idea why, but I have REALLY wanted to eat popcorn for like a week, so that was fun. :)
Today, I started to work on my newest project; putting a tile mosaic on my balcony. It's going to be a pretty sizable project, and I just can't decide on a design or color scheme... so tough! I like those really fun iridescent tiles, but they're super expensive and I can't decide on a pattern anyway! I'm excited though, I've wanted to do this for a year now, and finally the weather will be nice enough to do it. Never mind that I really have no idea what I'm doing. :)
Tomorrow I might go on the Goose Island brewery tour with my bf and one of his friends, but that's really not set and I need to clean this place up... Oh well. I like to cook big dinners on Sunday night, so I might do that as well.
Yay for weekends!
If I'm a big brother here, I'm the one who occasionally makes a complete !@#$ of himself. But the nieces and nephews would love me- they could play whatever music they want as loud as they want in the car with me. :)
This weekend was good here. I live about 5 minutes' walk from Safeco Field in Seattle, and on Saturday the Mariners had a day game. I didn't go to the game but took the dog out for a walk and had a nice lunch, a beef hot dog from one of the street vendors. The pooch had a little bite but recent stomach upset on his part prevented having a lot.
Today I had a nice time with the jewelry store gal, who I met IRL so it's not really an OLD story but what the heck. We went and had dinner at a cool restaurant. Italian joint, the lady that runs it with her sons is sweet, and one of her boys sings and plays piano while folks eat good food at really reasonable prices. (It's almost always packed in there during dinner hours, good thing we got there early.)
Then we saw a classic old movie, "The Third Man", in a little art-house style theatre a few blocks away.
Yeah, it was a good weekend.
