First meet stuff

Two questions:

1. This is a question for all those who have not yet had a first meet, or to those who have had few first meets - like, one per month or so. May I ask if this is because you live in a sparsely populated area? Or is there another reason?

I guess I am very fortunate to live in a city - fortunate in that I have no problem with getting first meets - yet unfortunate in that most of the guys have been creeps and I have yet to get to third. (third meet, not base LOL)

2. This is to those who have had many first meets - do you usually make the first contact? If so, usually via email or winks?

I usually wink or send the first icebreaker, then it's either followed up by an email back or asking for my number or even asking to meet right away.

I've been back online now for about 3 months and I've met 5 men in person. Two in Dec; one in Jan; two in Feb. I live in a large city and although I choose to only date

I'll have to answer #1 since I've only had 2 meets. First reason, I haven't been at it that long, just a few months. I've had a few contacts that fizzled after a few emails or chat because it just obviously wasn't a match. My odds in the first place are significantly lower just on the single mom factor - most of the guys I could otherwise be into, don't want to date someone with kids. Understandable. I'm also an atheist which further lowers my odds since anyone religious will be met with mutual disinterest. I'm glad that I do live in a medium-large city so at least it's not as bad as it could be.

I'd have to say at first I had a lot more first meets than I do now.

Quote of the month...

"My personal opinion is, also, that there are many more people on the internet that have difficulty with real-life than you will meet in real life!"

That's a very interesting insight and thank you for stating it so well! When you stop to think of it that way, it actually explains a LOT.

I completely agree with your second paragraph!

I'm on that same website. I decided to do a little experiment and post a picture that shows my "assets" off a little bit better than my other pictures. I'm currently using it as my primary photo. I'm not half naked. But I've been blessed in one area of my body and the picture definitely shows them off. The number of guys looking at my profile, and emails/teases and hotlists has gone up 250%. Unfortunately, 90% of it is not because of my beautiful smile or witty profile. ;)

Yes, I have been blessed in the same part of my body as you have, and one of my photos I used to use when I was online was of me in a halter top.

OMG, calilawgirl... I just dug up your profile, and holy gazongas, Batman! The picture of you in the white top almost looks like it was photoshop-edited or something! :O

And as much as I appreciate a... um... nice top half, well, I'd rethink using that photo. I mean, I'm sure it's accurate and honest, but if I were you I'd be worried that the guys I was getting attention from were primarily after boobs. Not that there's anything wrong with that. ;)

Of course, you did say it was an experiment, and what the heck- try it out for a while.
