General Questions About Profiles

I am wondering how specific people here like to be about themselves in their profiles. I am having a hard time deciding which areas of myself to focus on. Of course, I'm not ready to date right now so that might be part of the problem. I feel that I have a lot of good relationship qualities but am not sure I want to put that in my profile, which isn't up right now, btw. I might sound too serious. On the other hand, I don't want to focus exclusively on fun. Also, do you try to appeal to a wide variety of people or just a select few? When I have a rough draft of my profile, I'll put it on board for critique. Thanks.

Write about your family life, hobbies, travel experiences, food you like and what you like to do on the weekends. What you are looking for is somebody that likes the same things you do so give men a clear picture of who you are. There is no need to sell yourself, you are already a great person.

If you're not ready to date, it might be a good idea to wait a while before putting something up on an OLD site. You want to hope that most people are out there to meet and date someone with the prospect of a LTR. If you're not, be VERY clear about it in your profile or just don't put anything out at all until you are. I think you could set false expectations.
