Hmmm...I hate to be negative, but that sounds fishy to me. He flew all the way back to the States, when Germany and Poland are basically right next to each other? Hmm.
In any event, do you really want to try having a r'ship with someone who travels that much, even if he is on the up and up?
Great! I am glad he called and that he seems nice! I agree with Sheri that it seems a little odd that he came all the way to the US to turn around and go back but I agree that it is a good sign that he did call. He had a perfect way to blow you off if he chose to but he called. Keep us informed of how it goes!
Didn't Scott Peterson travel a lot...(I'm only kidding but some of these guys with their stories. I guess they could be true but I agree it sounds fishy)
Here goes more Immigration info, Cupcake style....
Ok, there are times that, depending on your citizenship, you actually Have to fly back to your own country, to be able to enter a different country! US Citizens can sometimes get only short-term Visa to a lot of the Eastern block countries, so once their Visa is close to expiring, they have to return to the States, to "begin again" and therefore, have time to stay in another country, especially where visa for business are concerned. They are not thaaaaat thrilled that we 'Amurricans'want to break into their economic fountains(biz), as we tend to be aggressive and selfish when it comes to business--but,hey,we kick butt--Who else makes jeans as cool as Levi's? I once had to fly to Atlanta overnight, while living and working in Central America, go to the US Amabassador's house there to get a signature from her, to be able to go back to C.A., to finish processing my work Visa there. Whew!
TMI (too much information, I know! :), but just trying to look at the Cupcake side of things and I hope this is good for Spark! Sounds like he is thinking of you, which is great, and wants to keep in touch, as he can. Remember that when men are thinking with their "business brain", often, their emotional side slows down to turtle speed! Give it time, and he could roll around Sweet!!!

Cautious optimism - that's how I'd be playing it. At least I think I would. Or hope I would. Never been in your shoes.

I was trying to hold back and not be a total wet blanket, but when I read the post Scott Peterson INSTANTLY popped into my head.
